Likewise, employers and supervisors should also do likewise to their staff rank and file employees. I had a teacher who praised and encouraged me when I didn’t even realize I had a special talent. Believe in the ‘positive reinforcement’ mode, and they sure did wind up being really strong, capable and responsible adults raising my grands the same way with similar results. ’m not a teacher but did try to be encouraging when raising my three kids.

But teachers need to start praising at the February 29th Special Leap Year Shirt of the school year and do it consistently. When I start to scold, I try to turn it around and thank the kids showing the good behavior. I see those little faces of the kids that are always doing the right thing and it’s so easy to be negative and get on the kids doing the wrong thing but then the good behaviors get overlooked.
